Checking Results, Sikkim State Lottery
Clear answers on checking results for sikkim state lottery, checked against the live platform and updated when it changes.
What Is Checking Results?
Checking results means comparing the ticket number on your Sikkim State Lottery slip against the winning numbers officially declared by the Sikkim State Lotteries Directorate after each scheduled draw. The Directorate conducts up to four draws daily, Dear Morning (11:55 AM), Dear Day (3:55 PM), Dear Evening (6:00 PM), and Dear Night (8:00 PM), so a single ticket holder may need to check results at a specific time slot, not just once in the evening.
A result check is not the same as receiving a prize. It identifies which prize tier your ticket qualifies for, ranging from the First Prize (typically ₹1 crore on flagship schemes) down through Second, Third, consolation, and series-based ranks. Physical prize payment requires submitting your original ticket to an authorised retailer or the Directorate office in Gangtok for verification. Checking results is therefore step one of a two-stage process, identify, then claim.

Results are legally valid only when published on the official portal at sikkimstatelottery.org or in the Sikkim Government Gazette. Third-party aggregator sites may republish these numbers, but the gazette notification is the authoritative record used at prize counters. Always cross-verify any result you see on an aggregator against the official source before travelling to a claim centre.
Checking Results for New Players
Before the draw time arrives, locate three fields on your slip: the lottery name (e.g. "Dear Morning Monday"), the draw date, and the ticket number: an alphanumeric code such as 45E 123456. The two-letter series prefix is as important as the six-digit number because lower-tier prizes are series-specific. Misreading the series prefix is the single most common reason new players incorrectly conclude they have not won.

New players often only scan for the First Prize number and give up. Check every tier in the result list. Fourth Prize and below are awarded across multiple ticket numbers regardless of series, so your six digits may appear even when your series does not match the top winner. The Consolation Prize, typically ₹1,000, goes to any ticket sharing the same six-digit number as the First Prize but carrying a different series prefix. Always compare your six-digit number against the consolation column separately.
Prize claims must be filed within 30 days of the draw date. After that deadline the ticket is void regardless of the winning number. Note the draw date on your ticket the moment you purchase it so you do not miss the claim window, which is enforced strictly at Directorate counters.

Checking Results Step by Step
- Visit the official portal. Open sikkimstatelottery.org in any browser. Results are posted under the "Lottery Results" or "Today's Result" menu within minutes of each draw closing.
- Select the correct lottery and date. Use the dropdown to choose the scheme name (e.g. Dear Morning) and confirm the draw date matches your ticket. Results from previous draws remain archived here if you are checking retroactively.
- Locate your series column. The result table is organised by prize tier. Find the series prefix printed on your ticket, for example "45E", in the series column listed alongside each prize rank.
- Match your six-digit number. Compare your six-digit number against First, Second, and Third Prize rows first. Then scan the Fourth Prize and Consolation rows using your six-digit number only, ignoring series for those tiers.
- Note the prize amount and proceed to claim. If you find a match, photograph the result page as a reference, keep your original ticket safe, and visit an authorised lottery retailer or the Directorate office in Gangtok with valid photo ID within 30 days.
